(Alexa Meyer photography)
This dress I got from Marc Jacobs and there was literally only one piece. I don’t think many people bought it, but immediately the colors on it caught my eye, as well as the outside thick zipper down the back. People asked what to wear on dates, this is definitely a dress I will wear on dates, actually the entire ensemble. I tried to make it less fancy by pairing it with navy suede ankle boots and a stretchy head piece my mom bought from Barney’s years ago. It’s okay to wear a fancy dress you have in your closet on a date, as long as you add things to it to dress it down. A dress brings out your girly side, but little accessories you add to it can bring out each persons own unique style. It’s very antique looking, which makes it look like an old piece I found in a vintage shop, I don’t know if it’s because it’s gold and that’s kind of not an every day color, or because I’ve never seen this dress on anyone else before. I don’t think Marc Jacobs makes it anymore, but there are certainly a ton of dresses that look just like it if you like this sort of look. I was looking through this website revolveclothing and they had similar things, some expensive, some not at all. Take a few minutes to look through!
