This outfit was the most fun to photograph. We really went all out with it. We were about to take photographs in the hallway, until Jane looked up and noticed a worn in suitcase placed next to a bicycle. We had to photograph next to it because it was so cool. We needed to do it quickly and quietly incase the man/woman who lived there came out and saw us. I also want to thank Cameron for being my stand-in man, he made my pictures look a lot cooler.
:)
I got these two bottom pieces at H&M, lace leggings inspired by Alexa Chung, I didn’t know what to do with them. Jane suggested I wear the outfit with this yellow worn in mickey mouse t-shirt. This hat I got at a costume store. I was jokingly putting it on my head, and then I actually happened to like it. They told me the hat was 48 years old and no one ever bought it. Gross or cool? Whatever. I love it.

People ask, when you shop for vintage pieces, how do you know what’s cool and what’s weird and an absolute no go? For example, some may look at this blouse and think just that. It is an emerald green blouse with leaves coming off the shoulders. Some may say Peter Pan, some may even think ugly. To me, when I shop at a vintage store, if something catches my eye (like this piece), I need to go over to that rack and pick it up and think of what I could do with it. This blouse gave me inspiration, it brought out a whole different side of my style, and I had to have it. I bought it at a vintage store on stanton and ludlow, and the place had some of the most amazing things I’ve seen in a while. This was just one of the pieces I tried on. I was a little annoyed when I accidentally handed them the wrong card to charge it on and they didn’t know how to do returns. (How does a clothing based store not know how to do returns?) Although, I am never one to return. I never understood returning. I mean, you decide at the store before you buy it, how annoying is it to go back and return? Anyway, I fell in love with this shirt, mostly because of the color (which the pictures don’t do its justice) and the big shoulders. The leaves are actually velcro, but you see the velcro attachment if you velcro the leaves off. Weird.
Also, in all of my pictures I’ve been using this new blush from Face Atelier. I am absolutely obsessed with it. On the site they have several options, but the one I’ve been using is amazing. It’s not only just a pink blush, it has a shimmer with it, (which I strongly believe and will argue it if I have to), makes you look tanner!!
RAINNN!!! Ugh.

Oh, and yes, I am wearing grey nailpolish – Chinchilly (Essie)

I got this dress the other day on a hunt for the garden collection and came across this dress that wasn’t even apart of it. A chic Victoria Beckham like mini dress for 34 dollars! Can you believe that? Especially in this bright hue of red, perfect for summer. To make it a tad bit more wintery due to the freezing cold weather we’re enduring, I added this hat I got at Topshop a few months ago, and these leather gloves. Oh and my booties. They are way too big on me but I wear them anyway. The black necklace is one my grandmother gave to me. I actually wore it last night too, it’s so sexy I think. It’s like black pearls. I did go back to H&M two days ago for the garden collection, and found some really special pieces! Can’t wait to photograph them next week.

I love these pants but I’m not sure if they are for winter or I can also wear them in spring. I stole this top from my little sister, I’m finding tons of things in her left over clothing. The headband I’ve photographed before with my striped pants and sweater, I think it adds a fun aspect to my outfit, very girly. I think I destroyed Cam’s bed by jumping up and down on it, but it was the most fun. We loved the idea of taking pictures in a polished outfit on a messy bed. I wanted to wear something floral because I’m in spring mode, but for some reason today it’s 35 DEGREES OUT! What is going on?! How do we dress? I cleaned out my closets yesterday, it took me four hours. I had such a fit when I had to move the winter shoes to the back and hide all of my fur and velvet. Spring cleaning isn’t as chipper as it sounds!
