(Skirt: Armani, Shoes: Steve Madden, Top: Vintage)
Here is a little peek of my beyond messy closet. Jane and I were rummaging through here putting together looks and Jane thought it’d be a fun idea to shoot in front of it. I’m kind of ashamed but I swear this is what it looks like on a bad day. My shoes are usually lined up perfectly and my clothing is color coordinated. Nerd, yes – but I make up for that in other areas. This skirt is a personal favorite, ugh I feel like I say that about every single piece – but really, personal favorite. The pleat, the sheerness, the quiet grey, the thinness of the fabric had me smitten. Again, thanks mom. These shoes really disappoint me. They are truly fantastic, but I can’t wear them outside of the apartment. I can’t even make it to the elevator and I am a heel pro. The green top I picked up at a thrift store I can’t remember where, but green has recently become a consistent color in my closet. I’ve always been surrounded by green, it’s my mother and grandmothers favorite color and I am sort of starting to see why.
Below is my shot in the Sunday Styles of New York Times newspaper yesterday. I am having it framed and will cherish it forever, not only because it was in the New York Times but mainly because I was shot by Bill Cunningham.
