air

(Dress: Mara Hoffman, Clutch: Coach, Shoes: LF, Necklace: Vintage, Necklace: AlexaLeigh)
I always loved this dress. My little sister bought it back in high school and decided it wasn't for her - so that's when I came in and decided I could totally make this work. I love that it's just a simple white sack, but has a sweetheart neckline. I think with a tan and and a rough combat boot for juxtaposition, spices up the outfit so it's not too boring. I can't wait until it's warmer out so I can wear it!

neon and such

(Pants: H&M, Shoes: Jean-Michel Cazabat, Shirt: NecessaryClothing, Jacket: Christopher Kane for JBrand, Bag: Paul&Joe)
There are so many pieces in this outfit that I love, it felt really good to be putting them together. For starters, these faux leather pants I bought at H&M. I swear, I get stopped everywhere about them, no one can believe they are from H&M. I am telling you, they sell the best faux leather. In an upcoming post, I will show you black leather pants from there as well. I paired it with a vintage Ralph Lauren belt, and by vintage I mean my mom's in the 80's. The lace tank top is from Necessaryclothing, which I have been buying all of my layering pieces from. It's the perfect tank top because it's not the typical tank, it's ivory and lace and can be so sexy with just a pair of black skinny jeans and booties. Finally, the hot pink jean jacket I got from the JBrand and Christopher Kane collaboration. I can't even tell you how happy neon makes me. It's so exciting that neon clothing is back in. I remember in the 5th grade, wearing hot pink spandex leggings with a matching sweatshirt. I thought I was the coolest girl in school.

bye litas

(Sweater: Madewell, Shorts: Zara, Bag: Vintage, Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell, Necklace: Alexa Leigh)
The time has come, this is my last week with my Jeffrey Campbells. I've reached the point where it's time to move forward. I paired them for the last time with my navy Zara shorts and my super itchy Madewell sweater. Sad. This is the bag that my boyfriend got for me in Panama at one of the flea markets. I love it so much.
Has anyone seen my Sperry commercial on Taxi TV yet?!

Jbrand/Saks Behind The Scenes Photoshoot

Little sneak preview and behind the scenes of my JBrand and Saks photoshoot today! I can't wait to get the final images and share them with you guys! It was very New York City themed. I even got to take home these amazing ACNE pumps!
Happy weekend!

pastel

(Shoes: Steve Madden, Pants: H&M, Shirt: H&M, Jacket: Juicy Couture)
I have been really happy about this whole pastel trend. I love wearing colors like this and couldn't resist buying these light purple trousers at H&M the other day. I normally NEVER buy things as an outfit made by a store, but I loved the way this blouse with the beaded collar looked with these pants that I kind of needed to buy the whole look and wear it that way. I added my favorite Juicy Couture blazer/jacket with the fur collar and my nude snakeskin Steve Madden sandals. Would you wear pastel pants?

fringing

(Skirt: H&M, Shoes: Proenza Schouler, Bag: Brahmin, T-shirt: Alexander Wang, Denim Vest: Necessary Clothing, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban, Ring: Forever21, Belt: Theory)
This skirt is an exact copy from The Row last fall. I loved the idea of throwing things over it and letting just the fringe show at the bottom. I paired it with my snakeskin Proenza pumps and a easy denim vest from Necessary. Denim vests/jackets make everything look cute. This is an extremely fitting outfit for today considering it's 60 degrees here in NYC. I love it!

the red bag

(Jeans: Rag&Bone, T-shirt: Hanes, Jacket: Aqua, Shoes: Necessary Clothing, Bag: Banana Republic, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban)
If you follow me on Instagram, then you definitely are familiar with this bag. I have been posting it a bunch of times and am kind of really excited to be introducing it on the blog. It's been my partner in crime throughout fashion week. Thanks to the amazing forever loving Banana Republic for creating such a wonderful piece. It's the perfect shape and size, the color is absolutely amazing, and to top it off - it's super affordable for what it is! I don't even care if it matches what I'm wearing, I carry it to work every day and bring it out at night. Have you guys ever heard me speak about a bag like this? I am so not a bag person! Get yours here!

winter white

(Sweater: Topshop, Pants: Topshop, Shoes: Steve Madden, Hat: Banana Republic)
I've been very into winter white at the moment. My next purchase is to be a great white jean. The other day when I built my shoe closet, I also re organized my entire wardrobe. I started pulling out all of my summer pieces and wondering why I couldn't wear some of them now. I put the trousers together with this long sleeve cropped crochet sweater I bought two weeks ago at Topshop and considered it a great look for the month of February. It was very Empire Records-esque. I love how long the sleeve are. What do you think about white in the winter?

shoe closet

I have been lusting over shoe closets my entire life. Because shoes are my salvation, keeping them organized and on display is a personal must for me. I purchased a brand new pair of pumps yesterday that are very special to me and the second I opened the box, I knew I couldn't put them on the floor of my closet squished in with all the others. That is when I called my girl friend and decided we were going to journey over to Home Depot and begin building my first shoe closet! It's difficult in NYC when you don't have an apartment with a lot of closet space - organization is key. My boyfriend and I are in the process of re doing our entire apartment, starting with our bedroom. I will definitely document the whole thing to share with everyone!

vacation

(Shorts: Levi's, Shirt: Vintage, Boots: Olivier Theysken's, Bag: Unknown)
Leaving for Florida on Saturday for a mini vacation and I felt a little inspired to post a casual warm weather look. I love digging up things I'd wear around the apartment or sleep in, and pairing it with a nice pair of shoes to create a wear-able look. I actually purchased a few things for Florida from Necessary Clothing today, including this top, these shorts, and this dress! I barely made a dent in my bank account with these affordable prices. I'll be sure to shoot them and post on Instagram while I'm away. If you aren't already following me on Instagram, (Arielle Nachmani/Somethingnavy) do so now - I post pictures every day!!!

Polyvore/CoverGirl Blogger Fashion Show

My lovely board that took Amy (College Fashionista) and I years to find.

My fitting with my designer Gavaskar

Getting into hair - it was no joke. I was so lucky to meet Sarah Potempo who I LOVE, especially because she invented the first ever BeachWaver Curling Iron. Yeah, beach waves - that's right.

Back shot of the final outcome of my hair! How cool?

Side shot: it's basically a bunch of fishtails wrapped up together. It took my boyfriend and I hours to get out, but it was so worth it.

CoverGirl smokey eye tutorial with my make-up artist BoBo. He was unbelievable, totally going to attempt to recreate the look with his tips.

I feel so cool getting to sit in the CoverGirl chair. Very America's Next Top Model.

The typical 'brushing your hair out of your face' blogger pose. Yes, we notice these things.

Making fun of each other's poses while doing a run through.

Final head shot of make-up.

Me and my sister/best friend in the world. Best support team! She calmed me down by telling me to walk down the runway as if I were walking on the street, listening to my favorite song on my iPod, and really loving my outfit that day.

The runway. We all panicked when we saw how long it was. It felt like two seconds when we actually did it!

My entrance to the runway! How Valentine's Day-esque is my outfit?

And my attempt at a walk. :/

I had the most amazing time and kind of sad that it's over. It went by so fast! I feel so lucky that I am apart of this generation and I am able to experience the start of the blogging world. To take part in the first ever blogger fashion show is something I will never forget. Not only did I have the most amazing time with my fellow friends/bloggers, I worked with the most unbelievable styling team Anda&Masha, wore a beautiful look by a new designer Gavaskar, had my hair done by hair stylist Sarah Potempo, made up in all CoverGirl make-up products, and most of all, teaming up with Polyvore. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I did putting it together!
