Pink has definitely been making an appearance in my closet recently. Personally, I would wear an entire pink outfit, but I know for some girls it’s a definite no to even incorporate it into their wardrobe. When doing my buying, I noticed this sweater and fell in love. I’m not usually a cardigan girl but I’ve recently been inspired by my fiances outfits. I love how he throws a cardigan over a button down or a t-shirt and carries that effortless vibe to his look. I’d say to give pink a chance and take a risk because you’ll be surprised as to how much it goes with in your wardrobe already and how adding a little femininity in color to a look can change a lot, in a good way.
Armani Exchange really revamped themselves. When Refinery29 came to my apartment to shoot the collection, I could not believe what was in front of my eyes. Normally when I think of Armani Exchange, gold and silvers and metallics immediately pop into my head. Until now. The skinny jeans (and I’m not just saying this) are the best fitting jeans I own. I think I have a pretty good denim collection but these blew my mind away. Aside from the jeans, remember my black pleated leather mini dress I instagrammed? How stunning was that? Well here is another one. Not only is the fit amazing, but it has pockets – and you guys know how happy that makes me. I paired it with tights and booties and I’m ready for a holiday celebration!
The printed jeans from 7 have always been a favorite of mine. The material on these jeans are amazing, they’re almost like silk but with a stretch. I paired them with one of my new favorite sweaters from Robert Rodriguez, Sam Edelman booties and a hat. Usually when the clothing makes statement enough, I try to steer clear of overpowering accessories. Also, how amazing is this leather jacket from Lovers + Friends? I can take the sleeves off and wear it as a super cute leather vest. Genius.
By the way, how long is my hair getting?!?!?
I love a printed blouse. Striped, leopard, zebra, you name it – I’ll wear it. They’re just good to have, I am constantly using them for layering situations. Even if it’s thrown under a sweater and just the collar pops out. Especially on SHOPgrl when they are at this price, it’s easy to just get a few and incorporate them into your wardrobe in so many different ways. I paired this stripe/leopard blouse with black faux leather skinnies and pumps. This is an outfit I’d wear out for a fun dinner. I’d probably opt out for boots since it’s freezing out right now.
Holidays are coming up and I teamed up with Rent The Runway to put together some of my favorite go to looks for cocktail attire. Rent The Runway has created a shop HERE with my selects along with accessories to complete the looks.
I chose this dress because every girl needs an LBD. It’s easy to reach for the simple black mini but add a little pattern to spice up a classic but chic black dress. When wearing a solid it’s fun to accessorize with pops of color, I always gravitate towards green jewel tones.
This is for the girl who likes to step outside of the box, stand out and takes risks. This super chic patter/print creates a modern vibe at the formal holiday party. The great thing about these colors is that you can either do neutral accessories or a pop of color (I’d choose red here) to keep this look young!
This is for the chic and classy! I love a nude knee length dress. Everything about this look is styled just the way I’d wear it. Slicked back hair and red as my pop of color. Possible spray tan before hand so you don’t get completely washed out.
This would be my first pick if I were to be hosting a cocktail or holiday party. The dress alone says woman of the hour/I’m running the show here! Because the color is so bold I would keep accessories clean and neutral. With a long sleeve dress, I think hair back always works best to create that sleek classic vibe.
All the single ladies! This dress right here is super sexy and super fun. If you’re wearing this dress the attentions on you! A strappy black stiletto sandal and a tousled beach wave looks perfect with this sparkly number.
