I feel like while having this blog I’ve really noticed how much my style has changed in the last four years. A look as simple as shorts and a tank top like this can satisfy me more than a wild colorful eccentric outfit that I used to put together more often as long as it’s accessorized correctly. Adding a hat and shoes like the above allow my look to still be busy enough to the point where I’m fulfilled and ready to leave the house but at the same time easy to put together and laid back enough to wear every day. Wow, that was a mouthful. But it’s how I feel – I’m shocked how simple I’ve become when I was always about the stand out make a statement looks. A simple outfit I’ve realized can stand out even more if put together correctly – I have my sister to thank for that.

Nails have become one of the most important accessories to a girls outfit. I definitely want to branch out this summer and try some nail art. I’m also a huge fan of shorter nails, I feel like bold colors look so much better on shorter nails. How cool is the first picture with the outlining of the nails? I’m obsessed.

An oversized sweatshirt is always a must have in my closet. I love how cozy and boyfriendy this one is and the lips just make it a little more fun to throw on with a pair of leggings. The slashed back is a very different look for me but without that I feel like I’d just be wearing another one of those bat mitzvah give away sweatshirts I used to get in middle school. I’d even wear this to the beach over a bathing suit on a chillier beach day. It’s kind of really sexy with just a bikini underneath and seeing it through the slashed back.

It’s always fun to mix and match bright colors like these two. The embellished collar, like so many on our site, make a simple button down look a lot more interesting. The silver pump completes the look and brings out the gems on the neckline. Recently, I’ve been adding a Lacey Ryan set with almost all of my outfits, it’s easy and makes me feel like I made a bigger effort with accessories than I usually do.

I love this dress. I was going to pack it to wear for a wedding that wasn’t black tie but it can also work for just a fun dinner out on vacation or just in the summer time. The high low effect makes it a bit more casual and the neutral colors make it easier to pair with a lot of things.
