What to Do

Shopping

A few of our favorite places to shop include Gorsuch, O2 Aspen, Pitkin County Dry Goods, Kemo Sabe, Nuages, Perch, Bandana and Monkey’s (for kids), Saks (a pop-up for summer 2022), Barton Perreira, Alo Yoga, Ralph Lauren, Perch, and Marcus. There are also the best luxury stores such as Lori Piana, Prada, Dior, Moncler, and more!

Art

Aspen has an amazing selection of world-class art galleries including Aspen Art Gallery, Royal Street Fine Art, Skye Gallery, Casterline|Goodman Gallery, Baldwin Gallery, and more. The Aspen Art Museum is also a must-see!

Outdoor Activities

  • Saturdays - walk through the farmer’s market for excellent artisanal finds, baked goods, and fresh produce.

  • Hiking - Ute (for a quick, but intense hike), Smuggler (for a great entry-level hike that's walkable from town), American Lake, Cathedral Lake, and Hunter’s Creek.

  • Biking - bike from Aspen town to Woody Creek Tavern for lunch.

  • Music - Belly Up is a legendary intimate live music venue in the heart of Aspen where incredible talent plays all year round (everyone from Kygo to Matisyahu to The Chainsmokers)!

  • Running/Walking - Head to the Rio Grande Trail for biking, walking, running, etc. It's accessible right from town.

  • Family Fun - go to Snowmass Rodeo (a quick 20min drive) or take the Gondola at the base of Aspen Mountain to the top for great views!

What to Pack

Packing for summer in Aspen can be tricky. You’ll need a pullover for chilly mornings, a fun mini dress with sleeves to pair with funky cowboy boots for dinner, and a cozy lounge set to run around town in!

We also recommend you invest in a good pair of cowboy boots - we love Miron Crosby’s selection. As far as day-to-day dressing, Doen dresses go a long way in Aspen. They're perfect to throw on for a day around town with sneakers or a pair of heels for a dinner out. Another must-have is a good tennis dress. It's easy to throw on for the Farmer’s market or a day of activities outdoors. Last but not least, a light versatile jacket is key. We're loving this tweed one from Sandro.
