Emily Mariko’s Salmon and Rice Bowl
We can’t talk about viral TikTok recipes without showing some love for Emily Mariko’s famous salmon and rice bowl. It’s the next best thing to sushi when takeout isn't an option, and the best part is that it takes just minutes to bring to life.
Ingredients:
Cooked salmon filet: Mariko uses leftover salmon, but fresh salmon works, too!
White rice: Again, leftover or fresh — it’s your call!
Avocado
Kimchi
Soy sauce
Sriracha
Kewpie mayonnaise: FYI, you can get it at Target!
Dried seaweed: Or nori, your call.
Directions: Start by mashing up the salmon with a fork and then cover with rice. (Note to those using leftover rice and salmon: Next, place an ice cube in the center of the rice and cover it with parchment paper before steaming it up in the microwave). Finish by topping with soy sauce, mayo, sriracha, and avocado slices. Mix it up and enjoy with roasted seaweed and kimchi.
