The TikTok Recipes We're Obsessing Over

Keep scrolling to check out five of our all-time viral TikTok recipe favorites, including an easy — and delicious! — weeknight dinner option (see: baked feta pasta), and a refreshing salad recipe that practically doubles as artwork.

Emily Mariko’s Salmon and Rice Bowl

We can’t talk about viral TikTok recipes without showing some love for Emily Mariko’s famous salmon and rice bowl. It’s the next best thing to sushi when takeout isn't an option, and the best part is that it takes just minutes to bring to life.

Ingredients:

  • Cooked salmon filet: Mariko uses leftover salmon, but fresh salmon works, too!

  • White rice: Again, leftover or fresh — it’s your call!

  • Avocado

  • Kimchi

  • Soy sauce

  • Sriracha

  • Kewpie mayonnaise: FYI, you can get it at Target!

  • Dried seaweed: Or nori, your call.

Directions: Start by mashing up the salmon with a fork and then cover with rice. (Note to those using leftover rice and salmon: Next, place an ice cube in the center of the rice and cover it with parchment paper before steaming it up in the microwave). Finish by topping with soy sauce, mayo, sriracha, and avocado slices. Mix it up and enjoy with roasted seaweed and kimchi.

Baked by Melissa's Green Goddess Salad

There's no better time to learn how to cook than at the beginning of a new year, and this delicious recipe is more than Team-SN approved. To say it was a TikTok sensation is an understatement. It's delicious and healthy, what more could you want.

Ingredients for the salad:

  • 1 small green cabbage, diced

  • 3-4 cucumbers, diced

  • 1/4 cup of chives, diced

  • 1 bundle of green onions or scallions

Ingredients for the dressing:

  • lemon juice (2 lemons)

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1 small shallot

  • 1/3 cup chives (optional)

  • 1/4 cup walnuts or cashews

  • 1 cup fresh torn basil leaves

  • 1 cup fresh spinach

  • 1/3 cup nutritional yeast

  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions: First, add all the salad ingredients into a large bowl. Next, blend all liquid dressing ingredients. Add in the dry dressing ingredients, and blend until smooth. Pour the dressing over the salad and mix. Enjoy!

Grated Egg Avocado Toast

Though newer to the scene, grated egg avocado toast has quickly garnered a ton of attention on TikTok. Not only is it delicious (it’s avocado toast, after all), but it’s also super Instagrammable.

Ingredients:

  • Bread: We recommend using sourdough.

  • Kewpie Mayo: Clearly, you need to add this to your shopping cart, stat.

  • Avocado

  • Hard-boiled Egg: One per slice.

  • Sriracha

  • Salt and Pepper

Directions: Start by toasting your bread. Then, thinly slice an avocado. Spread a thin layer of kewpie mayo over your freshly-toasted bread before layering the avocado on top. Using a microplane, grate the hard-boiled egg over the avocado. Finally, season with salt, pepper, and a few dollops of sriracha.

Baked Feta Pasta

Surely you’ve heard of baked feta pasta, one of the most viral TikTok recipes of all time — but it’s about time you try it (in the rare case you haven’t already). It’s the perfect weeknight dinner because it requires so little effort and is basically the epitome of comfort food. For best results, serve with a big glass of wine 😏

Ingredients:

  • Grape tomatoes

  • Feta cheese: In block-form, not crumbled!

  • Extra-virgin olive oil

  • Salt and Pepper

  • Pasta

  • Garlic

  • Spinach

  • Basil

Directions: Start by preheating your oven to 400°, and in a baking dish, add grape tomatoes, olive oil, and salt and pepper. Add a block of feta cheese to the middle of the dish and bake for 35 minutes. Pull it out of the oven, add fresh garlic, basil, and then mix it up. Finish by topping it off with cooked pasta and finish by giving it another good mix.

Pesto Eggs

If you need some breakfast inspo, pesto eggs might be right up your alley. The hashtag for the meal alone has a whopping 250 million views on TikTok, a testament to the fact that you need this beloved recipe on your radar.

Ingredients:

  • Eggs

  • Pesto Sauce

  • Crushed red pepper flakes: Optional

  • Black Pepper: Optional

Directions: Add pesto to a non-stick skillet like you would olive oil or butter if you were making ~normal~ eggs and spread it around. Once heated, crack the desired number of eggs into the pan. Serve on its own or on toast.
