Flattering Swimwear for Four Different Bra Sizes

Finding the right swimwear for your body type and bust size is easier said than done.
For many of us, shopping for swimwear can be a uniquely unpleasant experience. Whether you have a larger chest or are on the smaller side, we all know the feeling of trying on a bathing suit that just does not work for your body. Finding a comfortable swimsuit that you feel confident wearing is a completely individual experience, but if you're looking for some summertime inspiration, we asked four members of Team SN for help. Maggie, Taylor, Sydney, and Nikki have four different bra sizes (ranging from A cup to DD), and below they share their favorite swimwear picks, highlighting the styles they found the most flattering for their specific body types.

Maggie's Swim Pick: Something Navy

SN just launched our new swim pieces, and the options are amazing! If you have a smaller chest (like I do), I always think it helps to have some detailing or accents on the top so the focus isn’t just on your bust size. The twist two-tone bikini top has a knot detailing in the top along with twisted straps for a more playful look.

summersalt the swan dive

Maggie's Swim Pick: Summersalt

I have a really short torso and a smaller chest (I'm usually a 34A), so one-pieces are rarely flattering on me. I’ve tried a bunch of different brands, and they usually just accentuate my short torso! I saw Summersalt’s Swan Dive one-piece all over Instagram last summer and finally went for it–and now I’m completely obsessed with the brand. It’s beyond comfortable and has adjustable straps in the back so I can customize the fit.

Taylor's Swim Pick: Jade Swim

Taylor's Swim Pick: Jade Swim

I’m a sucker for a cool cut out in a bathing suit. This top one-shoulder top from Jade Swim has a thin cut out detailing on the back. It comes in a range of colors and shades, but I love classic black style! Even with the cut out design, the top still feels really supportive and well-structured for all day wear.

Velvet Floral Strap One Piece Swimsui

Taylor's Swim Pick: Something Navy

Any bathing suit that can double has a bodysuit get an extra check in my book!  More specifically I love a one-piece with a flattering neckline and this SN one has just that. It gives just enough cleavage and the details on the strap elevate your look whether you’re at the pool or pairing it back to a pair of jeans for dinner.

Sydney's Swim Pick: Something Navy

I really love our back bow one piece because I feel super secure in it even with a larger chest because of the adjustable straps. The bow in the back provides the perfect amount of extra support when tied tight which is amazing. I am loving one pieces this summer and have been obsessing over orange tones just like this one!

monday swimwear

Sydney's Swim Pick: Monday Swimwear

I love Monday Swimwear because I feel like the swim is truly made to flatter every body type. I’m a 34DD so I’ve always had difficulty when it comes to finding swim that works with my chest. They have amazing fit guides on their site, and shoot their products on women of all shapes and sizes which is really helpful when shopping to see how the tops fall. The Portugal and Clovelly top styles are my favorite. I like bathing suits that tie in the middle because I feel like they are the most flattering and supportive on my chest.

solid & striped

Nikki's Swim Pick: Solid & Striped

I got this suit a year and a half ago from Solid & Striped and love that the underwire can hold my boobs in place without making them look bigger than they actually are. For reference, I wear a size 34C in bras and have since started gravitating towards suits with underwire because I find them so flattering.

faithfull the brand swim

Nikki's Swim Pick: Faithfull the Brand

I feel like some girls have a hard time finding one-pieces that still accentuate our bodies. Keeping with the theme of underwire, I love finding ones in a feminine print with support for the girls like this one by Faithfull the Brand.
