July Fashion Picks

"Arielle first introduced me to these adorable knickers by Stripe & Stare. They’re comfortable and girly, and I love the dainty embroidery."–Dana

"I love stacking a bunch of the different sized ball bracelets by Alexa Leigh Jewelry at once for a chunkier look. They’re the perfect addition to any outfit!"–Taylor

"I not only love the Something Navy Anna top for its name, but because it is the perfect blouse that can take you from day to night. It is super easy to dress up and down."–Anna

"I have been living in Birkenstocks this summer. They're amazing for the pool or beach because they can get wet, but they also look super cute with an everyday outfit."–Sydney

"Poolside creates beautifully handcrafted bags from natural materials. The brand's pearl-covered bucket bag is my favorite of the moment–I love the pearl accents!"–Maggie

"I am in LOVE with Jason Scott tees! They are the most perfect, elevated basics that I can wear with literally anything. I also love that they’re made from high-quality fabric; hands down the most comfortable tee I own."–Pujah

July Entertainment Picks

"The Politician is back on Netflix and I am hooked.  I just love anything Ben Platt!"–Dana

"Hamilton! If you haven’t seen it yet stop whatever you’re doing and turn it on. It’s the best musical that I have ever seen and now that it’s available on Disney+ I will be watching it at least once a week. Lin Manuel Miranda is a genius!!!"–Taylor

"Love Island! I’m late to the game but loooove it."–Sydney

"I've been watching anything and everything on the Bon Appétit YouTube channel"–Anna

"I'm one of the many people who has watched The Office again in quarantine, but now I'm listening to Jenna Fisher and Angela Kinsey's podcast “Office Ladies” too. The podcast gives an episode-by-episode breakdown of the show plus behind-the-scenes details any Office fan will enjoy."–Maggie

"I’ve been obsessively watching every 90s movie and TV show I possibly can on Netflix and Hulu. Clueless, 10 Things I Hate About You, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Family Matters, She’s All That, Drive Me Crazy…the list goes on and on and on!"–Pujah

July Beauty Picks

"Oribe's Aprés Beach Wave and Shine Spray is the best. It’s summer hair in a bottle!"–Dana

"ILIA’s True Skin Serum Concealer is my obsession at the moment. It’s lightweight but has amazing coverage which is perfect for summer when I don’t like to wear a lot of products on my face."–Taylor

"I'm obsessed with the Perpetual Radiance Eye Glow + Illuminator from Soleil Toujours! It is perfect for sensitive skin."–Anna

"I have always loved The Face Drops by Tan Luxe, but especially this summer! I add a few of these drops into my moisturizer every other night for the perfect extra glow."–Sydney

"Laura Mercier's Hydrating primer keeps my makeup intact no matter how hot it gets!"–Maggie

"For me, this month is all about tinted moisturizer! Now that NYC is slowly re-opening and social scenes are bustling, I find myself getting dressed more often than not, which is a welcome change! My go-to for a quick summer glow is Kosas’ tinted face oil. Made with 6 botanical oils, this tinted moisturizer gives my skin moisture and protection all day long."–Pujah

What Team SN Can’t Turn Off at Midnight

"I love the Instagram account @nycxclothes and this sister duo! They are informative, wise, inspiring, creative, and of course fashion-forward. I especially loved their recent post “Dear Brands… Sincerely, Black Creators."–Sydney

"Selma is streaming on Amazon Prime. It’s a historical drama about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama which ultimately culminated in President Lyndon Johnson signing the Voting Rights Act of 1965."–Dana

“I highly recommend reading the book Just Mercy and then watching the movie! It’s the story of Bryan Stevenson who founded the Equal Justice Initiative. Michael B. Jordan brings the story to life in the movie version, where he eloquently portrays Bryan Stevenson’s struggle with racism in the legal world.”–Taylor

"@influencingincolor is a platform that is committed to inclusion and diversity by championing women of all colors. I look at their Instagram feed every day because I love all of the outfits!"–Anna

"In early June, I signed up for Nicole Cardoza’s Anti-Racism Daily newsletter, which provides anti-racism resources and action items to help make a difference on a daily basis. It's an incredibly insightful educational tool to learn more about the history and context of systemic racism and racial privilege."–Maggie

"I love @ARRAY’s Instagram account. They are a nonprofit organization that was founded by Ava DuVernay, the writer of the Netflix series When They See Us. They were founded about 10 years ago, yet their message still remains powerful and relevant. The account focuses on producing, distributing, and amplifying images by black artists, people of color, and women."–Pujah
