Sure, Valentine’s Day is great–who doesn’t love celebrating love? But in our book, Galentine’s Day–otherwise known as an opportunity to get dressed to the nines and celebrate your besties–is an even better February fete. In our minds, the cornerstone of a good Galentine’s Day dinner is a great look to match. Read on for a few of our faves and our top tips for styling them.

What to wear:

If you’re going to wear a coordinating look, you might as well go all out. We’re obsessed with the vibrant hot pink of our mock neck sweater and flare sweater pant set, and while the pieces pack a punch together, they’re also equally viable as separates. Whether you’re having some friends over at home or heading out somewhere chilly–these are guaranteed to keep you both comfortable and chic.

How to style:

A simple, coordinating look like this gives you the opportunity to go all out on earrings. With a warm tone like hot pink, you’ll want to go gold with your jewelry. We love the idea of pairing this look with By Pariah's sculptural recycled gold drop earrings. And if you want to go for an elevated color-blocking moment, grab Bottega's Mini Jodie bag in pink and a pair of crystal-embellished Amina Muaddi mules–the vibrant shades make these accessories the perfect match for this all-pink look.

What to wear:

While we’re talking co-ords (if you can’t tell, they’re one of our favorite ways to create a cohesive look), we’d be remiss not to mention our cableknit turtleneck sweater and, in our humble opinion, incredible fringe wrap sweater skirt. This is a look perfect for those who aren’t ready to go all out with the bright colors but appreciate a fashion risk at the same time.

How to style:

With a high slit that accentuates the leg, it’s all about the shoes here. This is the type of skirt that begs for a slouchy boot. If you’re tall, a high-boot, like this perfect Gabriela Hearst pair, is just the ticket. If you’re on the shorter side or simply want to lengthen the look of your leg, try this fantastically flattering wedged pair from Paris Texas. To keep the look from appearing too “busy,” go for minimal jewelry. A gold bracelet–like this one, from Roxanne Assoulin keeps the look streamlined by mimicking the cable knit aesthetic and mirroring the outfit’s warm tones.

What to wear:

Yes, we’re back to the bright-colored, monochromatic statement pieces. And this time, we're going with a different shade. Our turtleneck with piping details and wide leg sweater pants in red is perfect for Galentine's Day. Style together as a set and drape our oversized coat over your shoulders to complete this all-red moment. But if you got your fill with the hot pink look, there are tons of other ways to style these chic separates...

How to style:

You could easily pair the red pants with a white button-down (our go-to is from Nili Lotan) or pop on the top with a pair of Stella McCartney straight leg trousers in a holiday-forward color that’s both complementary and chic. If you decide to go for the full look, though, all you need is one accessory: the clutch–and we believe the clutch in question should come from the witty and fashionable wordsmith Olympia Le-Tan, whose "I'm With Her" Clutch pretty much says it all–the ultimate girl’s night is upon us...
