An Inside Look at Our First Virtual Wellness Event

What do you get when you combine a super fun (and crazy effective!) Sculpt Society dance cardio workout class with comfortable and chic workout clothes from Alo Yoga and a "No Shower Happy Hour" featuring PRESS Premium Alcohol Seltzer?

This dream combination is the most exciting thing to happen during quarantine, and it all went down at our very first virtual wellness event.

Last week, Arielle hosted "Something to Sweat For," an evening of working out, wellness, and candid conversation. Arielle kicked off the event with a moment of gratitude, and then, Megan Roup joined Arielle to lead a heart-pounding Sculpt Society workout set to some of our favorite tunes.

"When I work out with Megan it doesn't feel like working out," Arielle said of Megan's Sculpt Society workouts. "It feels like I'm just having fun and dancing with my friend. She incorporates a lot of different aspects into working out–it's not just dance cardio and it's not just sculpting. She just has the best energy in the entire world."

"Arielle is probably my number one client who just loves to dance," Megan said. "She's such a fast learner, it challenges me to come up with new choreography so we're always creating together!"

Both Arielle and Megan were decked out in Alo Yoga sets–you can shop the looks here! They each wore the brand's 7/8 High-Waist Airlift Legging in gravel with a coordinating Slit Bra and Alo's Wanderer Sneaker–and Arielle wore the Bae Hoodie pre-workout as well. “I love Alo Yoga,” Arielle said. “Their clothing is soft and so comfortable to workout in. They believe in inspiring overall wellness, mindful movement, and creating community. which is one of my favorite things in the world."

Post-workout, Arielle and Megan enjoyed a "No Shower Happy Hour" and a Q&A presented by PRESS Premium Alcohol Seltzer. "PRESS is a female-founded business: she wanted to create a lighter, premium drink alternative," Arielle explained. "It's an easy light drink to have, especially after something like this," she said as she sipped on a Lime Lemongrass can, her go-to flavor of the brand's four elevated options.

Guests had the chance to ask Arielle and Megan all of their burning questions live during the event, which turned into a candid conversation between the two about building their businesses, their take on wellness, and how they're navigating working from home.

"My mom always said to me that when we were kids, she would work out at like 10 pm at night after we went to sleep just to fit it in, because she felt so good afterward," Arielle explained when asked how she makes the time to exercise with such a busy schedule. "She just told me that it's so important to make it part of your daily routine. It's hard the first couple of days, but once you really start to get it into your routine it just becomes a natural thing that you do."

Of course, there were goodies in store for our attendees–one lucky winner won a one-year subscription the Sculpt Society app! If you missed "Something to Sweat For," make sure you keep an eye out for more virtual events with Arielle and Team Something Navy in the future!
